1. Who are we?

The controller of your personal data is DOUBLE SOURCE, a French limited liability company (SARL) with a share capital of €10,000, operating the HOMECORE brand, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 511 339 269, with its registered office at 38 rue des Gravilliers, 75003 Paris, France (EU VAT number: FR67511339269).

This policy applies to the homecore.com website. It is drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 (Loi « Informatique et Libertés »).

2. What data do we collect?

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • your identification and contact details: last name, first name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses;
  • your order data: items purchased, amounts, order history, returns and exchanges;
  • your payment data, processed directly by our secure payment providers (we never have access to your full bank details);
  • your customer account data: login details, preferences;
  • your communications with our customer service;
  • your browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, interactions with our emails and advertisements, collected in particular through cookies (see section 8).

When we collect your data, we indicate which information is mandatory and which is optional. Without the mandatory information, we will not be able to process your order or request.

3. Why do we use your data, and on what legal basis?

We use your data to manage your orders, payments, deliveries, returns and exchanges, as well as your customer account. This processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between us when you place an order or create an account.

We also use it to respond to requests sent to our customer service, as part of the performance of the contract or on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing you with a quality response.

With your consent, we send you our newsletters and marketing offers. If you are already a customer, we may also send you offers about products similar to those you have purchased, on the basis of our legitimate interest. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time, using the link included in every email or by writing to us.

Also with your consent, we use your browsing data to measure website traffic and improve the site, and to show you personalized advertising on social networks and search engines.

Finally, we process certain data to prevent fraud and secure payments, on the basis of our legitimate interest, and to comply with our accounting, tax and legal obligations.

4. Who has access to your data?

Your data is accessible to authorized HOMECORE staff and to our service providers, who act on our instructions and only to the extent necessary for their tasks:

  • e-commerce platform and website hosting: Shopify;
  • international commerce, payment, taxes and customs for orders outside France: our international commerce partner;
  • returns management: ReturnGO;
  • order preparation and logistics: our logistics provider;
  • shipping: DPD, UPS, DHL Express;
  • email and newsletter delivery: Klaviyo;
  • payment: Shopify Payments;
  • analytics and advertising: Google (Analytics, Ads), Meta (Facebook, Instagram).

Your data may also be disclosed to public authorities, legal officers or debt collection agencies, only where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Is your data transferred outside the European Union?

Some of our service providers (in particular Shopify, Klaviyo, Google and Meta) may process your data outside the European Union, notably in the United States or Canada. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards: European Commission adequacy decisions, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. 6. How long do we keep your data?

  • Customer data: for the duration of the business relationship, then 3 years from your last purchase for marketing purposes.
  • Prospect data (non-customers): 3 years from collection or from your last contact with us.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, in accordance with the French Commercial Code.
  • Data needed to prove a contract: for the applicable legal limitation periods.
  • Data relating to the exercise of your right to object: 3 years.
  • Cookies and trackers: 13 months maximum; your cookie preferences are stored for 6 months.

At the end of these periods, your data is deleted or anonymized.

7. How do we protect your data?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to preserve the security, integrity and confidentiality of your data, and in particular to prevent it from being altered, damaged or accessed by unauthorized third parties. Payments are processed by secure providers that comply with applicable standards.

8. Cookies and trackers

When you browse the website, cookies and other trackers may be placed on your device.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the website to function (shopping cart, login, security, saving your preferences). They do not require your consent.
  • Analytics cookies: they allow us to measure website traffic and improve how the site works (Google Analytics).
  • Advertising cookies: they allow us to show you advertisements tailored to your interests and to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, Klaviyo).

Analytics and advertising cookies are only placed with your consent, collected through the banner displayed on your first visit. You can change your choices at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies, although this may limit some features of the website.

9. What are your rights?

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • right of access, rectification and erasure;
  • right to restriction of processing;
  • right to object, in particular to direct marketing, at any time and without having to give a reason;
  • right to data portability;
  • right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal;
  • right to give instructions regarding the handling of your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to us at boutique@homecore.com or at the postal address given in section 1. We may ask you for proof of identity if we have reasonable doubts. We will respond within one month.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, in particular to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you by appropriate means.
