HOMIES celebrates creativity, curiosity, and singular paths.
This portrait series highlights those who have followed HOMECORE for a long time and above all, those who inspire it.
Art, theatre, photography, entrepreneurship, architecture, life stories… HOMIES is about sharing perspectives, passions, and meaningful connections, driven by the desire to meet, exchange, and create with purpose.
EPISODE 1: THE ACTOR
Reda Kateb is an actor and filmmaker who moves through life with inspiring grace. His work carries a rare intensity, rooted in lived experience, social awareness, and an uncompromising search for what is right.
Alexandre and Reda meet over coffee in Montreuil, Reda’s beloved neighborhood, reconnecting after some time apart. Their conversation naturally drifts toward questions of identity, exploring personal journeys, values, and the choices that shape who we are as humans and as artists.
Reda’s and Alexandre’s paths had crossed many times before they truly met. They moved within the same circles and shared mutual friends. Their first real encounter happened a few years ago, through Reda’s stylist at the time, who introduced him to the brand, feeling that Homecore truly reflected his identity.
They came together through clothing but formed a bond rooted in mutual respect and shared sensibilities. Their exchanges are marked by humility, sincerity, and a common desire to keep things simple and to do without artifice.
EPISODE 2: THE ALCHEMIST
Kim Chapiron is a French director, composer and photographer.
The story between Alex and Kim began in 2006, when Kim borrowed HOMECORE's iconic "Lockiss" jacket for his first cult film, Sheitan . He kept the jacket. A lasting friendship was born.
Sheitan marks a decisive turning point in Kim Chapiron's cinematic language. Released in 2006, the film crystallizes his fascination with excess, ritual, and collective trance, and asserts a vision that doesn't shy away from exploring the darkest corners of contemporary youth. With Sheitan , Chapiron established a signature style that still permeates his work today: instinctive, uncompromising, guided by a keen attention to rhythm, physicality, and the energy of the group. Kim evolves like an alchemist deeply rooted in underground culture, constantly searching for raw visual expressions and new forms of inspiration.
For this project, he takes us into an emerging genre: "frappecore," a fusion of French rap and hardcore techno, pioneered by the Casual Gabberz collective. We follow Kim to the Phantom for a live set by Vladimir Cauchemar and Urumi. There, he captures the raw energy of Urumi, an artist already considered one of the most promising heirs of this burgeoning scene.
EPISODE 3: The Architect
Marcelo Joulia is an architect whose creative journey began almost unconsciously. As a child, he built small structures, dug holes, and lit fires that immediately went out. He didn't yet know what architecture was, but he already felt the need to experiment with materials, forms, and space. Early on, his mother nicknamed him "el" (the architect).
loco, amused recognition of an insatiable curiosity which later shapes the contours of his journey.
In 2012, Marcelo founded Naço, now recognized as one of the agencies
of the world's most visionary architects. What distinguishes his work is his ability to preserve the memory of places: a subtle balance between nature and structure, an attention to existing elements, to the stories already present. He designs deep, vibrant, layered, almost timeless spaces. With disarming spontaneity, Marcelo plays with structures and speaks about them naturally, a clear echo of the instinctive drive that has guided him since childhood. Years after an initial collaboration with Alex on the design of the first LADY SOUL and HOMECORE boutiques, Marcelo welcomed him to the offices of the Naço agency. From this collaboration emerged a relationship founded on shared sensibilities.
complementary: one shapes spaces, the other bodies.
Their conversations are fueled by humor, shared memories, and an undiminished, almost childlike curiosity about their surroundings.
EPISODE 4: The Comedian
Amelle Chahbi is an actress, writer, and director. Her career has been built on hard work, curiosity, and a direct connection to the stage. She began in stand-up comedy in Paris. With her friends, she formed a troupe that would evolve into the Jamel Comedy Club, a central hub for a whole generation of comedians. Over time, Amelle expanded her practice. From stand-up, she moved into acting and writing, for both theater and film. Her work blends humor with a clear-eyed perspective on human relationships. On stage, she talks about family, love, friendship, and the contradictions of life. She does so simply, directly, with precision and wit. This film looks back on her journey, driven by concrete ambition but also by a touch of dreaming. She moves forward, persists, and keeps her goals in sight. A presence that is both gentle and determined, which makes its voice heard and inspires future generations. Amelle welcomes us to the Théâtre du Gymnase and reminisces about the years before. For a long time, she played in the evenings and worked during the day, notably at Lady Soul, HOMECORE's women's line, where she met Alex. From this encounter blossomed a deep friendship, which began twenty years ago.
which over time becomes a close family bond, made up of important moments shared.
