The Veja x Homecore sandal tells the story of a long-standing friendship between Alexandre, founder of Homecore, and Sébastien and Ghislain, co-founders of VEJA. Their paths first crossed in 2005 at the Who’s Next trade show. During a break, Alexandre cheekily pointed out the contradiction between their eco-conscious message and the cigarette in hand — a light-hearted moment that sparked a connection. That encounter marked the beginning of a lasting friendship, enriched by adventures around the globe. Nearly twenty years later, they finally bring a shared vision to life: VEJA’s very first sandal.

An Anatomical Sandal

A long-time enthusiast of foot anatomy, Alexandre has worn only anatomical footwear for years. He had been searching for a sandal that could offer comfort, support, and freedom — all in one. The Veja x Homecore sandal is the culmination of that quest: ergonomic shape, adjustable velcro straps, grippy sole, lightweight and durable. A true emblem of summer, it embodies a relaxed, free-spirited attitude— far from the dictates of fashion. Designed for both city strolls and countryside escapes, it celebrates life’s simple pleasures: reading in the shade of a lemon tree, playing with the family, seaside moments, and the art of letting go.
