A classic-fit reversible jacket made from combed wool by the Marzotto spinning mill, from their Fabbrica Alta collection: a design inspired by the study of more than 2,000 samples, notebooks, and drawings from the Marzotto historical archives.
What sets this jacket apart is the meticulous attention to detail in its interior construction. The geometry of the lining is not treated as a mere functional element: it is entirely dictated by the architectural structure of the jacket itself, creating a sense of coherence between the inside and outside of the garment. On the button placket, the design choice is deliberately unconventional. Rather than using the traditional topstitching that runs the entire length of the placket, it is intentionally interrupted before reaching the bottom of the jacket. This interruption creates a pyramidal shape that serves a dual technical purpose: it secures the pocket bottom while preserving a perfectly rectangular inner pocket with direct access.
